Police are on the hunt for a fuel thief who fled from a local petrol station without paying.
A man filled up two containers of fuel in the rear of his car at Morrisons in Arbroath then drove off.
The incident is said to have happened at the Hume Street filling station between 3.45pm and 4pm yesterday.
The culprit is is described as being 6ft tall, in his 30s, with dark-coloured hair. He wearing a dark coloured hooded top.
His car was also described as dark-coloured.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland added: “Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting CR/28993/17 or speak to any police officer. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
