Police give drugs advice to second-year pupils at Dundee school

Police officers visited a Dundee school to advise pupils of the dangers of illegal drugs.

As part of an initiative to educate youngsters about drugs — not just the legality of them but also the health effects of taking them — PCs Scott Menmuir and Steve McKay visited Morgan Academy to speak to S2 pupils.

PC Menmuir said: “Education and early intervention is an important part of the prevention of drugs misuse in the future.

“Community safety officers will be visiting every secondary school in Dundee to ensure young people are aware of the health implications of taking illegal drugs with a particular emphasis on ecstasy.”
