ONGOING: Police, fire and ambulance crews on scene of crash in Dundee

Emergency services have been called to a one-car crash at Emmock Road, Dundee.

Several taken to Ninewells and casualty still trapped in vehicle after Dundee crash

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed that one car had been involved in the incident, which happened at around 12.15pm.

He confirmed there were casualties but could give no further details of the extent of the injuries or how many people had been involved.

He added: “We are still at the scene and details are still sketchy.”

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to a one-vehicle  road traffic crash at Emmock Road.

“All persons were removed from the vehicle before emergency services arrived. We currently remain at the scene.”

Two appliances, one from Kingsway East and one from Blackness Road, attended the incident.

They remain on the scene.
