Police called to local college after student disturbance

Dundee and Angus College, Arbroath

Police were called to Dundee and Angus College in Arbroath after a disturbance involving a student.

Members of the public reported seeing a police presence at the Keptie Road campus.

College principal Grant Ritchie told the Tele that two students had returned to the campus after being out drinking.

When they were asked to leave, one student agreed and left but the other refused.

He allegedly became aggressive and the police were called.

A force spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended a disturbance at Keptie Road, Arbroath, at around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

“A man was arrested.”
