Police Scotland arrested a 29-year-old man after a doorman was allegedly assaulted outside a city centre nightspot.
The incident is understood to have happened outside the Grosvenor Casino, West Marketgait.
Police arrived in the early hours of last Wednesday and a man was charged in connection with an assault.
One eyewitness said a customer was alleged to have punched a door staff member after attempting to enter the casino.
Tony Reilly, general manager at the casino, said staff were assisting police with their inquiries.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm a 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault in West Marketgait, Dundee, in the early hours of Wednesday October 10.
“He was released from custody on an undertaking to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.”
