Fears for an injured deer caused a hold-up on one of Dundee’s busiest roads.
Police blocked off part of the Kingsway, beneath the Macalpine Road/Kings Cross Road flyover, around 7pm yesterday.
Multiple calls were made to the force and SSPCA regarding an injured deer in the foliage amid fears it may make its way on to the busy road.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said that officers attended and a “deer dispatcher” was called to the scene.
Scottish SPCA Chief Inspector John Carle said: “We can confirm we were alerted to an injured deer in Dundee yesterday.”
The Tele has requested a comment from the SSPCA regarding the deer’s current condition.
