Police Scotland believe two men robbed a man at an ATM immediately after leaving a city centre bar.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Monday, when a man was robbed at the ATM on the corner of Courthouse Square and Ward Road.
After withdrawing money from the cash machine, he was punched in the head by two men who grabbed the money from him and ran off towards West Marketgait.
The first suspect is described as being about 5ft 10, white, heavy build with short dark hair, in his mid 20s, and wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and light coloured trainers.
The second is about 6ft, white, slim build with short dirty blonde hair, wearing a khaki green t-shirt with a logo on it, jeans and white Nike trainers.
Both spoke with local accents, and are thought to have been in the Balcony Bar immediately before the incident.
The complainer was unhurt but shaken by the incident.
A police statement said: “Although in the early hours of the morning, the ATM is widely used by people on nights out in the city centre, and it is hoped that persons who had been out and about in the town at the time may have seen the incident, or at least seen the suspects run off.
