A Broughty Ferry road was partially blocked after a car crashed into the back of a parked van.

Police were called to the scene on Strathmore Street in Barnhill on Saturday at around 10am after a Mercedes car collided with a commercial vehicle.

A crew from the ambulance service also attended and were seen treating the occupants of the car.

The front of the car was badly damaged in the crash.

The road was partially blocked with no access available for buses for much of the morning.

A witness who arrived shortly after the crash said: “The occupants of the Mercedes were in the ambulance. It was a young male and female and the female looked quite shaken.”

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed there were no injuries reported.
