Plans are already underway for next year’s Dundee Women’s Festival, which will be held from March 2-16.
A spokeswoman said: “We will be holding two weeks of events celebrating women and highlighting issues affecting women and girls today.”
She said that anyone wishing to be involved was invited to attend a meeting at 4pm on Tuesday September 4 at Dundee International Women’s Centre.
The festival will include art, comedy, dance, drama, debate, music, talks and workshops.
The festival has been held now for 12 years.
It was under threat last year due to lack of funds and was scaled back from its usual three-week run to one week.
However, organisers are hopeful that it can run for two weeks next year.
This year’s festival had the theme of “A Vote For The Future” and celebrated 100 years of women’s suffrage.
