Plan to convert Dundee city centre KFC into two restaurants

Two new restaurant units could be created in Dundee city centre.

Plans have been lodged with Dundee City Council for the KFC outlet on High Street after the fast food giant moves to a new unit on Murraygate, closer to the Wellgate shopping centre.

Work has begun on revamping those premises as the firm prepares to open its new eatery.

And now developers want to divide the former KFC shop into two restaurant units before letting them out.

No details have been revealed about who would take up residence in the newly created units. The proposals are subject to listed building consent.

Meanwhile, an application has also been submitted to the local authority to revamp the unit next door, formerly occupied by Greggs.

Maisie & Mac, a Cupar-based gallery and shop, plans to paint the outside of the shop in a purple colour, similar to its premises in the Fife town.
