A plan by a budding business to open a new cafe on Reform Street is back on the table.

The team behind the Little Things Cafe was given permission by city planning officers to convert the former Swinton Insurance premises at number 37 last May.

However, it is understood that the plans hit a snag and the cafe had to seek alternative accommodation.

A new planning application has now been submitted for the adjacent property at number 35.

It was lodged on behalf of the applicant by local architect firm Jon Frullani Architect.

According to a sample menu included with the application, Little Things will seat up to 20 and offer macarons, cupcakes and tray bakes along with toasties and pre-packed sandwiches and salads.

Planning officers at Dundee City Council have until March 4 to make a decision on the cafe’s application.
