A section of the A90 close to Dundee is to be closed overnight next week.
Resurfacing works costing £230,000 will take place on the Perth-bound carriageway at Kinfauns from next week.
The night-time project will get underway from Monday January 15, at 7.30pm, for five nights with the works expected to finish by 6.30am on Saturday January 20.
There will be a lane closed Perth-bound and a 10mph convoy system in place each night between 7.30pm and 6.30pm, with the road operating as normal during the daytime. The northbound A90 will be unaffected during the works.
Transport Scotland says the works will ensure that this section of the A90, used by around 18,700 vehicles every day, continues to operate safely for years to come.
Andy Thompson, Bear Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other surfacing issues to help improve the general condition and safety of the road for motorists.
“The works have been scheduled to take place overnight to help minimise any delays to road users, however we encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using Sepa approved methods.
