Dundee United have signed goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw on loan from Hibs as Matej Rakovan departs the club.
The Tangerines have sealed a loan deal until the end of the season for the 26-year-old after releasing Slovakian goalie Rakovan with 18 months remaining on his contract.
Laidlaw has played 27 times for the Hibees, winning the Championship in 2017 in the process, and will challenge with Benjamin Siegrist for the gloves at Tannadice.
Manager Robbie Neilson said: “Ross joins us to compete for the first-team goalkeeping position.
“He brings important experience having won this championship with Hibs and most importantly is an excellent goalkeeper.
“I have been looking to improve the competition within the goalkeeping set-up, and I am happy to see Ross here.“
Rakovan played 10 times for the Tangerines, keeping one clean sheet.
