A new referral procedure is being introduced at Dundee Foodbank, starting next month.
From Monday July 2, a “red voucher” system will replace the current telephone referrals.
Organisations wishing to make a referral will need to fill in details on the red voucher and hand it over to the person they are referring.
The person will then take the voucher to the foodbank, where it will be exchanged for food.
The old telephone previously used for referrals will also be made redundant.
Foodbank organisers said they were in the process of contacting referral partners to issue the new red vouchers.
The change coincides with the foodbank relocating from the Full Gospel Church on Constitution Street to St John’s Episcopal Church on Albert Street, which will open on the same day as the new referral system is introduced.
The final day at the Full Gospel Church will be Friday June 29.
