A new playpark is to be built outside a busy Dundee shopping centre.
The fenced-off play area will be located next to the Overgate car park beside the community gardens at the Bank Street entrance.
A slide, balancing beam, a mini see-saw, swing, stepping stones and talking tubes are to be installed.
The Tele revealed that plans were in place to create the facility. They have been given the green light by the council and work is set to get under way.
No completion date has been given in regards to the project.
Architect Alistair Fitchet previously said that the new park “would make sure the shopping experience is even more enjoyable.”
Lynne Short, convener of Dundee City Council’s city development committee, said: “This is great news for retailers and shoppers with young children.
“We know that in order to entice people away from only doing their shopping online, city centres must have added extras that make a trip into town worthwhile.
“So when you can combine shopping with a bit of fun for the kids at a safe, easily accessible play area what’s not to like?”
