A posse of players are set for the Dens Park exit door this month on the search for first-team football.
James Vincent, Kosta Gadzhalov, Randy Wolters and Nicky Low could all be on the move.
Vincent and Gadzhalov have been recommended to Championship clubs while Wolters’ stay in Scotland may be ended sooner than later.
Vincent has been linked with a move back to former club Inverness while Gadzhalov almost joined Raith Rovers a couple of months back and is keen to get first-team football after not featuring once for the Dark Blues this campaign.
Dunfermline boss Allan Johnston, meanwhile, is considering a loan move for the two.
He said: “We’ve got a few players we’re looking at and we’ll see how it progresses over the next couple of weeks.
“Vincent and Gadzhalov are two of a number of players who have been recommended to us but we’re looking at all our options at the moment, and seeing what positions we need to strengthen, before we make any decisions.”
Dutchman Wolters has already spoken of a bout of homesickness earlier in the season and hasn’t played since the end of October.
His wife also recently gave birth in Holland and a return home to be with his family is on the cards.
Low, meanwhile, will re-join the squad next week after his loan at Derry City ended and faces a tough task to force his way into the starting line-up.
