Two major restaurant chains have submitted long-awaited planning applications to Dundee City Council for approval.
As revealed by the Tele earlier this month, chicken chain Nando’s is set to open its second Dundee restaurant at Camperdown Leisure Park.
The firm has now put forward its official proposals for alterations to the building at the former Ashoka Shak, an external seating area and installation of signage.
A separate application for Nando’s, detailing a 92 square metre extension to the restaurant, was submitted to the council in August.
Meanwhile, family-friendly pub-restaurant chain Marstons, which has already had its application approved for an eatery on Fulton Road, in West Gourdie Industrial estate, has put forward an application to erect signage on the site. The plans show the restaurant is set to be called The Camperdown Elm, after the species of tree native to Dundee.
