More than a quarter of all Dundonians convicted of crimes go on to reoffend within a year, new figures have revealed.
Statistics released by the Scottish Government show that 26.3% of people living in the council area at the time of their offence went on to be convicted of another crime within a year.
The figure for Dundee is just below the Scottish average of 27%.
In Angus, 24.7% go on to reoffend and in Perth and Kinross, the rate is 23.3%.
Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf said the national reconviction rate was at a 19-year low.
