A man who was the subject of a huge police search has been found.
Police were trying to track down Gary Steedman, 28, after he went missing from the Tayport area.
Gary, who is understood to have formerly lived in Dundee and worked in the city, was last seen leaving a property in William Street, Tayport, at around 9am yesterday.
He was then spotted at the town’s Scotmid shop 30 minutes later, but hadn’t been seen since.
A crew from Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station carried out at search of the Tay between Tayport and the Tay bridges last night.
Today, his mum Carolanne Allardyce revealed on social media that he has been traced and was now with the family again.
She said: “Gary is with us. Thank you all so much. We will update you all later.”
Police confirmed that he had been traced in Dundee at around 11.30am today.
