An initiative designed to encourage women into business is aiming to attract new mentors at a recruitment evening.
The Coca-Cola 5by20 Dundee group has helped 110 local women get into business in two years and has 30 mentors, male and female, at its disposal.
Michelle De-Almeida, mentor co-ordinator, said: “This requires the commitment of time – but maybe not as much as people might think.
“We’re looking for our mentors to have, on average, one meeting with their mentee per month, lasting about an hour, over a period of just six months.
“In return, they can make a huge difference to their mentee’s confidence and business, which all has a positive impact on the local community and economy.”
The mentor event is being held at Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, at City Quay, next Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. For more details, call 01382 228545.
