A man is due to appear in court today after a major police investigation saw a cordon placed on a Dundee street.
Cops sealed off a grassed area on South Road yesterday, near its junction with Buttar’s Loan, following an incident shortly before midday.
Eyewitnesses reported a “physical altercation” and police spent yesterday combing the area.
Residents said the police presence was in the area from around midday before SOCO arrived on scene shortly after 1pm. Officers were seen taking pictures and carrying evidence bags.
A police statement this morning said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault on South Road, Dundee yesterday.
“A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today.”
