A man in his thirties was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to Alexander Street at around 12.40pm.
Police tape was put up at the junction with Dens Road as officers dealt with the incident.
One resident said: “I was just standing there and I saw the police put tape up.
“Very soon after they took the tape down — it looks like officers are still looking at the bushes.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that a crew had been called to the scene.
He said: “We received an emergency call from Police Scotland at 12.40pm.
“There was a male in his thirties found injured at the location.
“Paramedics attended shortly after and treated the casualty.
“The patient was then conveyed to Ninewells Hospital in a stable condition.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said today: “We received a call at around 12.30pm and attended Alexander Street following a report of an assault.”
