A man is in a critical condition in hospital after apparently falling in a Dundee street.
The 54-year-old was found on the ground on Strathmartine Road, near to the junction with Laird Street and Harestane Road, yesterday at 11.35am.
He sustained a serious head injury and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. His condition is now described as critical but stable.
Police say they have identified who the man is but are looking for anyone who may have seen him around the time of his discovery to come forward.
He is described as being about 5ft 9in tall of slim build and has short dark hair. He was wearing a black zip up coat, dark jeans and grey shoes.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland added: “Officers are keen to speak to a female jogger described as about 40 years of age, 5ft 6in tall of slim build with short dark and a man who is described as about 50 years of age, 5ft 10in tall of average build with dark hair. Both of these individuals came to the man’s aid prior to the arrival of the ambulance.
“There is nothing to suggest any criminality at this time and anyone who remembers seeing the man prior to the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
