Connor Mackintosh, of Court Street North, stole almost £600 worth of electric razors from a city centre shop.
The 22-year-old made the theft on July 22 from Boots on Reform Street.
He stole two packs of razors worth £579.99 which was not recovered.
Sentence was deferred until January following his release from custody.
