Man in sixties knocked out in ‘serious’ street attack

A man in his sixties was knocked unconscious in a brutal street attack.

Police are on the hunt for the culprit after the “serious assault” at the weekend.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and chest in the assault on a piece of open ground on Dundee Loan, Forfar at about 11.10pm on Saturday.

Officers want to speak to a man in his mid-to-late twenties in connection with the incident.

He is described as being about 5ft 8in of muscular build with short blond hair.

He was wearing a grey t-shit and grey jacket.

A spokesman for Tayside Division added: “Anyone with information which could help our enquiry, please call 101 or speak to any Police officer.
