
Police are appealing to the public for information after a man was attacked by a group of men in Dundee.
The 42-year-old victim had to be taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment following the assault.
The incident happened on a public footpath last Wednesday (September 21) in the West Ferry Area opposite the junction of Dundee Road and Margaret Crescent.
Police believe a verbal altercation took place between the victim and a group of three to five males in their twenties.
The man was then set upon by the group and suffered serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland added: “Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Tayside Division on 101 or any police officer. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
