A man stole clothes, shoes and a bike from a supermarket.
Alyn Bradford, 38, of St Kilda Road, was ordered to complete 160 hours of unpaid work.
Bradford admitted stealing clothing and shoes from Asda, Derwent Avenue, on July 5. He further admitted stealing a bicycle from the same location, on the same date.
He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by uttering threats of violence, at Craigmore Street, on the same date.
And he admitted assaulting PC Graham McNaughton by attempting to kick him on the body, again at Craigmore Street, on the same date.
Bradford was also placed on a curfew for 96 days.
