A man has been seriously injured after he was stabbed in an attack at a block of flats.
The 29-year-old was given a police escort to Ninewells Hospital after what was described as “a disturbance” at a flat in Dallfield Court.
It is understood the man is now in a stable condition.
A 37-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident, in the Hilltown.
Police say they were called to attend at the multi just after 11pm on Tuesday.
A sole police car was seen parked outside the building on Wednesday.
Officers were seen guarding the door of the flat where the disturbance is said to have taken place.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police were asked to attend at Dallfield Court, Dundee, at around 11pm.
“A 29-year-old male was injured after a disturbance and is in a stable condition in Ninewells Hospital.
“A 37-year-old male and a 40-year-old female have been arrested in connection with the incident.”
Wishing to remain anonymous, a man who lives in the block said: “I only just saw the police car outside the building and the policeman sitting outside the door.
“I asked them what had happened but they weren’t telling me anything.
“I don’t actually know who is in that flat. However, I’ve seen people come and go.
‘‘It must be pretty serious if they’ve actually got someone sitting there. You get the police up and down here all the time but there are never really any major issues on that floor.
“Hopefully the person is OK.”
Another woman added: “I saw the ambulance at about 11.25pm then I saw another one at about quarter to 12.
“I didn’t see anyone inside of it.
“I don’t know exactly what happened but I got told this morning it was a pretty bad assault.
“It’s honestly scary living about here with things like this happening all the time.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 11.04pm on Monday about an incident at Dallfield Court.
“We sent one ambulance which was on scene at 11.10pm and we conveyed a 29-year-old male to Ninewells Hospital.”
