A man has been fined after drunkenly jumping on a car and exposing himself after a night out.
Barry Delaney, 33, of Quarry Road in Muirhead, admitted committing a breach of the peace in various streets in Dundee city centre last year.
Delaney admitted that on December 8, at Nethergate, Reform Street, Commercial Street and Crichton Street, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, shouted and behaved in an erratic and aggressive manner, urinated in the street and exposed his genitals, jumped on the bonnet of a car and refused to desist when instructed to do so by police.
He also admitted that on the same date, in a police vehicle in Nethergate, he pursued a racially aggravated course of conduct which amounted to harassment of PC Isman Ali in that he uttered racist remarks to him.
Solicitor Anne Duffy told the court Delaney was drunk after being on a Christmas night out with friends.
“He’s a long distance lorry driver and rarely drinks alcohol as he depends on his licence for his employment,” she said.
“It was the tail end of his Christmas night out with colleagues and he has very little recollection of the events of that evening,” Mrs Duffy added.
Sentencing him, Sheriff Alastair Brown told Delaney: “You were in a disgusting state.”
Delaney was fined a total of £540 by Sheriff Alastair Brown.
