Man dies after crash on edge of Dundee closes road

A man has died after a crash on the edge of Dundee this afternoon.

The crash happened at about 3pm on the A930 Barry Road close to the junction with Station Road.

The victim is thought to be a male in his 30s.

Emergency services are on the scene and the road remains closed.

A police statement said: “Police Scotland are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision on the A930 Barry Road, Carnoustie.

“The road is currently closed and diversions are in place. Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
