A fruit-wielding thug who assaulted his mother with a banana had sentence deferred until August 7 at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Graeme Murray, 40, of Exchange Street, admitted four charges dating from April 7, all committed at an address in Balunie Avenue.
He admitted that on various occasions he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence and banging on a fridge and a door.
He also admitted that on various occasions he assaulted his mother Doreen Murray, 64, by pushing her against a worktop, seizing her by the hair, repeatedly hitting her head and body with a banana, throwing a banana at her and pushing her on a bed to her injury.
He further admitted assaulting his stepfather James Murray, then aged 71, by seizing his head and repeatedly punching his head.
He also admitted assaulting PC Ryan Shields by attempting to butt him.
