Man admits murdering Dutch artist in Dundee flat and robbing him of £10

A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a Dutch artist in a Dundee flat.

John Styles admitted battering Jeroen van Neijhof with a piece of wood and repeatedly before striking him with a knife at a flat in Brown Constable Street in May.

Styles then stole £10 from his victim.

The 21-year-old, of no fixed abode, admitted to the crime at a brief trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.

Mr van Neijhof, 38, was a professional artist and sculptor, originally from Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.
