A man has appeared in court accused of breaking into a pensioner’s house in Dundee and stealing property and cash.
Scott Henderson, 33, of Cullen Place, Craigie, is also accused of stealing items from a house in West Ferry.
Henderson is accused of breaking into the house occupied by 81-year-old Marina Robertson on Arbroath Road on April 10 and stealing £40 in cash, two purses, a set of keys, bank cards, medication, an engagement ring and a drawer containing jewellery.
He is further alleged to have stolen £420 in cash, bank cards, keys and personal cards from a house on Strathspey Place in West Ferry on the same date.
He made no plea during his brief appearance in private before Sheriff Robert Dickson at Dundee Sheriff Court and was refused bail while the case was continued for further examination.
He is expected to appear in court again later this week in connection with the alleged thefts.
