A man has been jailed after being caught with 26 counterfeit bank notes.
Keith Hampson, 35, admitted possessing the fake Royal Bank of Scotland notes at Primark in Dundee’s Overgate centre and at police headquarters on April 10 last year.
He also admitted passing over a fake £10 note to sales assistant Lauren Scott at the store on the same date.
Hampson, from Airdrie, is currently serving a 20-month sentence and is due to be released in May 2018.
The court heard that Hampson had been struggling with a drug addiction and was visiting a friend in Dundee when he committed the offence.
Sheriff Alistair Carmichael sentenced Hampson to a further five months in prison.
