A man is facing a series of charges after being detained following a stand-off with armed police in Dundee.
Specialist officers descended on a block of flats in Yarrow Terrace in Menzieshill after concerns were raised for a male in one of the properties.
Locals residents spoke of a stand-off between the officers and the man before police stormed the building.
Officers carrying guns and shields were later seen walking away from the scene at around 3.30pm yesterday.
Police today confirmed that a man, 28, had been arrested and charged “with offences not related to the incident” and he was due to appear in court today.
It’s understood the charges relate to alleged communications offences.
Several roads were closed at around 1.30pm as the drama unfolded. Officers told residents not to leave their homes after initially being called out.
