A man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a man in Dundee.
Police found a man’s body in a property after being called to the address in Brown Constable Street just after 9.30am on Friday.
On Saturday, officers arrested a 21-year-old man, as their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death continue.
Dean McKinney, 26, who moved to the area just after Christmas, said his girlfriend told him there was a police presence in the street.
He said: “We’ve just seen the police going back and forward all day, in and out of the block.
“I don’t know anyone who lives in that close but I’m sorry to hear someone has lost their life.”
One resident, who lives in the block of flats where the incident took place, said police officers had been at the door to quiz him about what happened.
He said: “The police came to my door earlier today but they wouldn’t tell me anything in relation to the incident.
“They asked me if I’d heard anything over the past couple of days but wouldn’t elaborate any further than that.”
Detective Chief Inspector David Pinkney said: “We believe this has been a contained incident with no wider threat to the local community.
“Additional patrols will be carried out in the area by community officers to provide reassurance and assistance to local residents.”
