Lochee United season ticket holder Alex Marshall has handed back £500 of his jackpot club lottery win to help fund a new players’ lounge.
Alex received a £3,500 windfall when his number came up and has given some back to be used for the redecorating of a lounge in tribute to a former player.
Ian Anderson died in May while on holiday. Ian, nicknamed Ando, was the club’s lottery manager, making the donation all the more fitting.
A club spokesman said: “Ando raised a lot of money over the years.
“His friends suggested we redo the players’ lounge in memory of him. Many thanks to Alex for this wonderful gesture.”
Lochee United have had a brilliant start to the season and are the pace-setters in the McBookie.com East Super League. They play North End in a derby match today.
