A woman impersonated a cleaner and stalked a man’s partner before sending revenge porn.

Lynn Crabbe, 49, admitted approaching the woman’s place of work and taking her contact details.

She then used the details to repeatedly contact the woman.

Crabbe was handed a £4,000 fine after admitting the offences at Dundee Sheriff Court.

The court heard Crabbe approached the woman at her work.

Months later, Crabbe, of Hawthorn Place, Arbroath, emailed the woman.

Then a week later, Crabbe emailed the woman again.

Crabbe then sent her a series of “explicit” pictures of the man and even showed up at her house.

Defence solicitor Keith Sym said her motivation was to warn the woman, but Sheriff Rafferty said he was “shocked” at the “deceit”, adding: “If it wasn’t for the fact she is a first-time offender then a custodial sentence would be warranted.”

Crabbe admitted engaging in a course of conduct which caused fear and alarm in that she attended the complainer’s place of work, pretended to be a representative from a cleaning company and induced her to give contact details.

She further admitted repeatedly sending “sexual, sinister and derogatory” emails regarding the man, attending the complainer’s home and attempting to engage her in conversation and also sending an explicit photograph of the man to her.
