A team of inspectors from Education Scotland visited the premises of Woodlands Primary School and Nursery in Carnoustie in June and talked to parents, carers and children, as well as working closely with the head teacher and staff.

The inspection team found staff had created a nurturing, inclusive learning environment, where children were said to be developing resilience for learning, and attaining and achieving very successfully.

Pupils were also said to be motivated to do well.
