Plans for a new accommodation development have run into opposition from neighbours amid concerns about traffic and noise.
A six-bedroom house at 13 Maule Street in Arbroath is at the centre of the Cito Cimo Properties plan.
The firm wants to reconfigure and extend the property to provide luxury serviced accommodation. Parking for nine cars is also proposed.
The submission said: “Our business will be closely monitored by our consultant, who has experience in running hotels, guesthouses and luxury serviced accommodation all over the UK.”
The application has yet to go before Angus councillors, but has already generated letters of objection from local residents relating to concerns about parking in the narrow street.
