A road beside a busy Tayside train station was closed for hours today after a lorry crashed into a rail bridge.
Police were called to King’s Place in Perth following the smash shortly after 5am today.
The road was closed for several hours by police as they waited to recover the vehicle after it became stuck. By 9am the vehicle had been removed.
Diversions were put place along King Street, County Place, York Place and St Andrew’s Street.
A spokesman for Police Scotland added: “We would like to advice drivers that King’s Place, Perth near to the Perth railway station is closed due an accident.
“Drivers are asked to avoid they area until the road is reopened.”
