Scottish rugby fans will remember the national team’s victory over England at Murrayfield on Saturday for years to come.
But one Arbroath man has a unique souvenir of Scotland’s historic Calcutta Cup win.
Not only did Iain Cooper roar the team on to a resounding victory as they hammered England 25-13 in front of an ecstatic home support, he snatched the match ball thrown into the crowd when the final whistle blew.
Iain, 38, who attended the match with his girlfriend Erin Linton, said he will treasure the ball, which will stay in his family “for generations”.
