A new £5 million centre at Carnoustie Golf Links is expected to bring up to 20 new jobs to the town.
The facility is due to open in March, before the famous course hosts the 147th Open in July.
The centre will feature seven new golf simulators allowing visitors to play 3D reconstructions of some of the world’s most famous courses.
A shop, bar and restaurant will also be added.
Additional funding was provided by Royal Bank of Scotland.
Michael Wells, Carnoustie chief executive, said: “Our new world-class facilities aim to make golf as accessible as possible to the public.
“We’d encourage anyone, from novice to pro, to come along.”
