Local dog lovers scoop prizes at Crufts

Local dog lovers returned home with big smiles and wagging tails after scooping prizes at Crufts.

Megan Watson, 15, from Arbirlot, near Arbroath, was part of the Scottish team competing in the Inter Regional Rally competition at the dog show in the National Exhibition Centre at Birmingham.

Arbroath High pupil Megan and three-year-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel — Charlie’s a Darling — put on a fine performance as part of the rally obedience team to bag fourth place at Level 1, which, along with a first at Level 2 from Pam Cuthbert, Dundee, helped the Scottish team finish third overall.
