Break a leg is a term normally associated with the entertainment industry — but it’s not one dance teacher Diane Johnston wants to hear.
Diane, an occupational therapist at Dundee’s Roxburghe House, has her own school of Highland dancing.
However, she has literally had to take a break from dance teaching due to a freak accident.
Diane, who lives in Scone, said: “My four-year-old daughter Lauren was jumping about on a trampoline and I was standing beside it.
“Suddenly, Lauren fell off the trampoline and landed on my left foot.
“My foot was swelling up so I went to hospital where two breaks and a chip were diagnosed.
“There will be no dance teaching for me for a while.”
