Kirkcaldy councillors have said they stand “four square” behind plans for a new leisure and cinema complex on the site of the town’s former swimming pool.
SNP members Rod Cavanagh, Carol Lindsay, Zoe Hisbent and Lesley Backhouse said they hoped the development would help encourage people back into the town centre and boost trade.
Mr Cavanagh said: “Concerns have been raised regarding potential traffic noise and parking facilities and the fact the discounted parking scheme comes to an end shortly.
“This isn’t the end of the matter though and we, as Kirkcaldy councillors, have asked for a comprehensive review of parking facilities in this area to include charge-free periods.”
