A childminder in Birkhill offers a “caring and homely experience” to the children she looks after, according to a report by the Care Inspectorate.
Susan Garside provides care for six children under 16 at any one time and was given a score of three out of six for the quality of care and support, the quality of environment and the quality of management and leadership provided.

The report stated: “From our observations we saw that the childminder’s house was clean, tidy and well-organised.
“We saw that the house was safe for children.
“The childminder worked hard at forming warm and trusting relationships with the children and families she worked with. She offered a caring and homely experience for children.”
The report recommended that Ms Garside improves handwashing measures and improves the way risk is assessed to minimise hazards.
Ms Garside declined to comment.
