A Carnoustie care home has made improvements since it was last visited by inspectors
Balhousie Brookfield in Maule Street received two gradings of “adequate” along with two “good” rankings following an unannounced inspection earlier this year.
The Care Inspectorate recently made a return visit to the home — which is registered to provide care for a maximum of 27 residents — giving it four grades of “good”.
The inspection report said: “We saw good interactions between people using the service and staff.
“We heard nice discussions going on and staff supporting people well.
“Staff sat speaking to people and were interested in what they had to say.”
A spokeswoman for Balhousie Care Group said: “The recent gradings report for Balhousie Brookfield demonstrates the commitment of our staff there, and of the group as a whole, to high- quality residential care.
“We’re proud of the whole team at Brookfield.”
