The local area has been placed under a flood alert ahead of heavy rain this weekend.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa) has issued an amber ‘be alert’ warning for the Tayside area.
The warning mainly effects Perthshire but just stops short of Dundee.
More than 3in of rain has been forecast for some parts of the country and there are fears flooding could cause disruptions.
Sepa warned that some could still see the effects of flooding on Sunday.
The Met Office has also issued a weather warning for heavy rain.
A Sepa statement read: “Heavy and persistent rainfall has been forecast for overnight Friday through to Saturday afternoon.
“This may cause disruption due to flooding from surface water run-off and small watercourses throughout Saturday. Flooding impacts from rivers may continue into Sunday.
“Impacts are likely to include localised flooding of land and roads, pooling of water in known trouble spots, disruption to travel and difficult driving conditions.
“Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.”
