Dundee United have returned to the top of the Championship after a Scott Fraser double secured a 2-1 win over Dunfermline at Tannadice.
Fraser opened the scoring for the Tangerines on 15 minutes, curling home a delicious left-footed free-kick from the edge of the box, leaving Sean Murdoch in the Pars goal helpless.
Just before the break Fraser struck again, his third league goal of the season, connecting with a Jamie Robson throw-in to send most of the 5790 inside Tannadice wild.
The second-half didn’t go all the home side’s way and when Robson fouled substitute Fraser Aird in the box, Declan McManus stepped-up to cooly slot home the resulting spot-kick on 75 minutes.
United huffed and puffed for a third goal to settle matters but in the end two was enough for the Terrors to return to the top of the table at the expense of St Mirren.
